Orange Thread LIVE is a Nashville-based corporate AV and event production company founded in 2008. We produce corporate conferences, general sessions, national sales meetings, and multi-day events for some of the country’s most recognized brands and organizations.

Job Purpose

Assist with the regular execution of headache-free productions within the Orange Thread LIVE brand with an emphasis on the Lighting Department.

Job Description

This full time position is responsible for assisting the team in executing value-added, profitable, and headache-free solutions. As a member of the Orange Thread Media, LLC team, core areas of responsibility will include (but not limited to):

Assist with the coordination of the process(es) of advancing events, preparing documentation, executing drawings, and carrying out various pre-production tasks.
Lead/supervise the preparation and management of rental inventory.
Assist with the maintenance of equipment through prep, de-prep and cleaning/repair of company owned audio/video/lighting equipment.
Serve as a senior level event technician on Orange Thread LIVE client events.
Provide assistance to load-in, load-out, and the operation of in-show audio, lighting, and/or video equipment.
Assist with the pick-up, and returns of sub-rented equipment from local vendors.
Assist with the packing and and un-packing of heavy event equipment in a van, box truck or semi.

Key Requirements

High work ethic with a “make-it-happen” attitude that is able to self-manage, yet work with a team.
Experience with current technologies related to Audio, Lighting & Video event production.
Knowledge of engineering, troubleshooting, and technical critical thinking skills, particularly within the
lighting discipline.
Experience using CAD tools to create event drawings and plots. Proficiency in Vectorworks preferred.
Exceptional people skills with great communication skills.
Ability to lift heavy equipment (up to 50lbs) in assistance with executing live events.
Ability to stay on the forefront of event technology & learn new areas of AV production.
Ability to obtain/maintain a standard TN “Class D” Drivers License and DOT Medical Card.
Commitment to creating and leading a safe work environment for event production and personnel.

Performance Metrics

This position will be responsible for the following key performance indicators as part of a member of the Orange Thread LIVE team:

Provide a client-first, headache-free execution of the production services within Orange Thread LIVE.
Provide leadership to maintaining & preparing equipment for events in an efficient manner.
Support Technical Departments to design, document, and implement effective and efficient solutions.
Increase value through the high-performing support of Orange Thread LIVE’s Operations team.
